Keema Gobhi Matar
This has become such a staple food at my house. My husband refuses to eat Gobhi made the usual way now. 😕

But without a doubt it comes out delicious and I love to have this with paos.

Keema Gobhi Matar

Ingredients: serves 2
Gobhi: 2 cups grated
Boiled Peas: a little more than half a cup
Ghee: about 4 tbsps
Ginger garlic paste: 1 tbsp
Green chillies: as many as u like. I added one
Onion: one, finely chopped
Tomato: one large, finely chopped
Cinnamon: about an inch
Cloves: 2
Fresh grounded pepper and salt as per taste
Masala: red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and a bit of garam masala
Cardamom powder: 1/4th tsp
Cumin seeds: 1 tsp
Roasted cumin powder: 1/2 tsp
Hing: little more than a pinch
Water: 1 cup
Lemon juice: from half a lemon or as per taste

Method:
Roast cinnamon n cloves in a wok. Ground it n keep aside.
In a wok (non stick preferably) add two tbsp ghee n roast grated gobhi till it becomes lightish brown. Add a little salt and pepper while roasting. Set aside.
In the same wok, add the remaining ghee. When it becomes hot, add cumin seeds n hing. Add ginger garlic paste n chillies when cumin seeds crackle n cook till rawness goes.
Then put in chopped onion n little salt. Cook till lightish brown then add chopped tomato.
Add all the masalas including grounded cinnamon n cloves except for garam masala and roasted cumin powder Cook till oil separates the masala. Now add water n peas. Bring it to boil, reduce the flame, cover n cook till gravy becomes thick n it reduces to half. Then add roasted gobhi, cardamom powder n garam masala. Cover the lid and cook till water evaporates. Finish it with a bit of lemon juice n roasted cumin powder. Garnish it with coriander leaves. Serve with onion rings, lemon wedges, paos, roti or whatever you prefer. Enjoy 😊

>you can take raw peas and cook it after tomatoes are half done or boiled peas; whichever is easier.
