Daily Meals
Recipe-
Serves 3-4
1 small bowl white lentil ( wash it and soak for 30- 45 mins)
2 large chopped onions
2-3 tomatoes blended into puree
2 small bowls of water ( remember water is double the quantity of lentil so it 1: 2 ratio )
2tbs ghee
1tsp cumin
1tsp red chilli powder
1tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
In a cooker heat ghee and add cumin seeds, let it crackle and add finely chopped onions. Keep Stirring till golden brown. Add blended tomato puree and cook for 5-10 mins. Then add all the dry spices and stir for a minute. Then add the soaked lentil and cook for few more minutes. Once the lentil is all mixed with the paste add water and keep it on low flame. Once the water evaporates check to see if lentil is all soft and ready to eat. Once its cooked garnish it with chopped coriander leaves
