Kesar kheer and phirni
Recipe of Kesariya kheer


full cream milk- 2.5 lts
100 gms rice( washed )
150 gms sugar
cardamon powder- half tea spoon
saffron strings soaked in 1/2 cup warm milk
Nuts ( chopped almonds and pistachios )
Boil milk and then add rice to it, keep it on low flame and for 2-2.5 hrs and Keep stirring regularly.
As kheer gets thick and rice are well cooked and mashed well with the milk then Add sugar.
Keep on stirring it because when u add sugar chances of kheer sticking to the bottom are high. Then Add saffron , cardoman powder and nuts, mix well for 2-3 minutes and your kheer is ready.
You can eat it hot or you can cool it and refrigerate and eat it cold.
